Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum has created a unique traveling trunk that offers outreach materials on the Eastern Woodland Indians of Maryland. The trunk contains artifact reproductions to supplement the lesson plans with hands-on activities. The lesson plans were developed to meet Maryland's current Voluntary State Curriculum for the 4th grade. Julie Hall, JPPM’s education coordinator, will share the resources available and how they are used to bring history alive through object-based learning.
