Join the DC Historic Preservation Office (DC HPO) for the 5th annual Day of Archaeology Festival, hosted by Archaeology in the Community (AITC), a District-based nonprofit educational organization.
Meet local archaeologists in person and learn about the science and art of doing archaeology, volunteer opportunities, and local history. There will be activities for all ages: mock-excavation, hands-on artifact displays, crafts, and lectures. Visitors will have an opportunity to enjoy the Dumbarton House Museum, music, face painting, and some of D.C.’s best food trucks.
The event is free to the public and open to people of all ages.
Limited parking available near the venue. The closest Metro Station is the Dupont Circle Station (six blocks away).
